Rune is an action-adventure video game developed by Human Head Studios which was released in 2000. In the case of multiple base damage types, an enhancement bonus is considered to be only a single damage type, in this order: Slashing -> Piercing -> Bludgeoning. Two-handed swords offer slash and crush attack styles in which they provide high bonuses in compensation for their slow speed. The use of a rune 2h sword in player killing on free-to-play worlds as a finishing weapon is common. Their slow attack speed is made up for by the high damage they can deal in a single attack. Note: For the purposes of stacking, an enhancement bonus is considered a damage bonus of the weapon's base damage type. Two-handed swords or 2h swords are powerful yet incredibly slow weapons. All 2-handed swords can be made with the smithing skill. They have the highest damage per second of all weapons in their metal categories (only the dragon axe and dragon sword are better). Note: Recipes here are made with Smithing except for a few which use Carpentry or Tailoring. 2-handed Sword View source 2-handed Swords are melee weapons which cannot be used with a shield. See the Weapon Grouping Summary Chart to review which weapons fall into which Arelith custom weapon feat groups. See the main Weapons article for full information. There is also a glitch were the player is seen holding it like a sword.Melee Weapons are weapons that can be used only against close opponents, as opposed to ranged weapons. However, while wielding a 2h, the player becomes left-handed (the sword is held closer to the left side and attack animations show a left-handed swing). Also, while wielding another weapon like a scimitar or battleaxe, the player seems to be right-handed (the weapon is held in the right hand). It is interesting to note that wielding any two-handed sword makes the player's cape (if any) billow in the breeze, a unique animation. Because of this, the price has increased, especially in the case of the Rune two-handed sword, which some players were selling for as much as 90-100k.The two-handed sword is now the only weapon with different animations for every attack option. In a recent update, the two-handed sword was given new, realistic, and more fluid animations. Rangers most often brought a two-handed sword as they do not have a ranged weapon efficient in finishing blows. Players can forge a rune two-handed sword using the Smithing skill at level 99, requiring three rune bars, a hammer, and an anvil, granting the player 225 Smithing experience. Like all rune weapons, it requires 50 Attack to wield. It was relatively common in F2P (Free To Play) player killing, where it was used to make the finishing blow, before PKing was removed. The rune 2h sword is the strongest conventional 2-handed weapon available to free to play players. After the transition to RuneScape 2, its popularity dropped because of the aforementioned speed differences. The Two-handed Sword was the first choice of weapons in RuneScape Classic because there was no difference in speed between weapons. Players should choose the primary slash against most opponents, and the secondary crush against opponents wearing plate armour, such as Platebody and Platelegs. Two-handed swords are devastating in both Slash and Crush. However, the Rune 2h sword does not degrade like Gravite weaponry. It is a two-handed weapon, so it cannot be wielded with a Shield, and is the only Free-to-play Melee weapon with this characteristic. The rune 2h sword is the second strongest conventional 2-handed weapon available to free to play players, only being surpassed by the tier 55 Gravite 2h sword. The two-handed sword is one of the slowest but most powerful weapons in any metal set.
